Am I the only one who no longer recognizes the country?

Sir, I am saddened and in disbelief over what is happening in our country.

I recognize it just fine. Every day I see fellow Americans working to a "More Perfect Union..." A union of exclusivity and justice for all.

Unfortunately, I see less common courtesy, less common sense, and less uncommon valor. I see the common good being replaced with collectivism which removes the incentive to innovate and the will to succeed. PC forces everyone into a single frame of mind blurring boundaries and limits. Free will is being buried by laws and regulations.

Nope. This country only vaguely resembles the one that I grew up in. Glad that I lived most of my life in the old one.

In another forum we were discussing the clerk who refuses to issue marriage licenses to gays (she's in jail now). Even Christians aren't backing her convictions. If we lack conviction, we will lose this country for good.

Sgt Kelli Mays
Sgt Richard Buckner - The clerk is backing her Christian beliefs...and it's the reason she is in JAIL now...because she stood up stood her ground and refused to back down. ...so they threw her in Jail. Oh my GOODNESS!

Most unfortunately, NO. Our Constitution is being shredded and those we elected seem to have forgotten what they were elected to do. They seem more preoccupied with being politically correct and taking care of their careers than they do with addressing the many problems facing this nation, most of which they are responsible for thanks to their bungling economic and fiscal mismanagement and inability to say "No' to Special Interests.
