We say that Character Counts and yet we are bombarded by examples all around us that reveal serious lack of good Character, a serious Ethics Crisis. We seem to have pride in our past, but little faith in our future. Entire generations seems jaded about their leaders..a severe lack of trust and credibility. What can we do? How can we correct it? See the latest story about the Red Cross.

How do we fix it? Install (and elect) leaders that will be ethical, honest, and of good character. And when a charity, such as the Red Cross, is caught misusing donated money, somebody should come down HARD on the perpetrators. Not a slap on the wrist.
The VA has a similar problem - lack of trust - and the new VA Secretary came in "guns a blazing" with a plan to fix the problem. I think that's what it takes, SGM (Join to see), to turn this ship around.

Yep well when you put some in charge of the V.A. who plan for increasing the Military wasn't really a plan of increasing number of troops, just increasing the number of units. Then how do you think they are going to deal with the problem of increase load of new Veterans into the V.A. They have no track record for dealing with real issue facing the V.A.

American ethics have turned into "professional ethics." Professional ethics are not a high bar, just what the average Joe or Jill would do. Not the stuff that Medal of Honor winners are made of.
