I don't know how the military continues to be plagued by these instances of stolen valor, especially within senior leadership positions. I couldn't imagine walking around somewhere with an unauthorized badge or ribbon on my uniform. As service members I don't think it is very difficult to identify service members who are wearing something they shouldn't be. What are your thoughts on the verdict for this CSM? As well as your thoughts for the penalty of similar acts of stolen valor from his officer counterpart, LTC Green?

I just don't know what these current servicemembers are trying to prove. The record is easy to run. Own what you've earned (or haven't earned). It's that simple. Integrity.

This sort of display of dishonesty goes against all of our core values. A senior NCO who does this should punted from the service. Obviously he cannot live up to the Army Values and as such should not be a NCO.

Am I stupid to think the risk is not worth the reward. Even if one has a big ego, its not worth posing with unearned stuff.
