I've been considering purchasing an Alien Gear IWB holster for my Walther PK380. I have an Uncle Mike's IWB but it is quickly reaching the end of it's lifespan. I've been seeing some great reviews for Alien Gear but have no first hand experience with them. Anyone here have one? What is your opinion of the holster as far as wear, comfort, and durability?

*UPDATE* After much thought and consideration, I placed an order for an AG IWB 3.0 last night. I ultimately decided on the AG over CB strictly due to cost differences. I'll try to post my opinion of the rig after I have a chance to wear test a few weeks.

A big THANK YOU! to everyone who provided comments and advice.

Personally i think they are just another knockoff of the original Crossbreed IWB holsters. I've had a Crossbreed since I received my CHL 7 years ago.

I had looked at the Crossbreed but was leaning toward Alien Gear due to lower cost. (yeah.... get what you pay for and all that....) It may very well be worth the extra to go with CB holsters. I have several contacts who swear by Crossbreed for both IWB and OWB carry and won't use anything else. I'll have to give both a bit more thought before dropping money on the table.

MSgt Steven Holt, NRP, CCEMT-P I have 2 CB's now, one for my daily carry and one for the winter when I'm carrying a full size pistol. They were proud of their "ugly" IWB holsters, but I've not seen any complaints. Comfortable, heck yes.

Holsters are like a good pair of boots,,, you wont know how much you like or hate it till you get it and wear it.

I likely have 50-60 holsters...(don't judge me, I might still use one of them) I carry in the same one every day unless changing platforms or method of carry, and then I have a specific one for that use. I have a bunch that were used for a few months and then put in the gun room never to see the light of day.. No way to know if you WILL like it till you buy and use it...
Yes I have Alien Gear IWB holster .. no I don't use it.. not really a dislike deal, just I don't like it as much as my crossbreed super tuck... but that is just my personal opinion, others will have theirs. No right or wrong to it, just what works best for you.

No judgements here SGM! I have several pairs of boots for the very reason you've listed. Some I love the look but aren't as comfortable to wear. Some feel great to wear but don't have the "look" I wanted. I'm teetering between the CB and Alien as the final contenders. I've had several Uncle Mike's that are comfortable to wear but the durability isn't what I'm looking for.

ok so that number I used seemed too large, and I wanted to not have embellished my response.. So I counted last night,,,,, I only have 32 holsters ,,not 50-60 which was I admit an off the cuff WAG .. Well , 35 holsters if you include the three that I use daily. Primary for weapon 1, or 2 and the bug.

I just ordered a Tuck 3.0 and OWB holster from them based on reviews. I am waiting for them to arrive. But I did like the lifetime shell swap and the price.
