We all know financial education is non existant in our veteran community. Used to be we would get at least an OPD/NCOPD on financial topics once a year. But those days are long gone. After you leave the service, it's on you to become educated on personal finance/investing. It was lightly touched on in TAPS, not sure if this is true anymore. This is just a follow up to my original post. I have read the following and found them to be really useful in my financial education. The Index Card: Why personal finance doesn't have to be complicated - Helene Olene and Harold Pollack. This a easy, quick read on personal investing. Can pick it up, read it over a weekend and take action the following week. Automatic Millionaire by David Bach. A longer read, but goes a little deeper into the subject.
Currently reading The Only Investing Guide you'll ever need by Andrew Tobias.

It's awesome that you're interested in expanding your knowledge of personal finance and investing. There are so many great books out there to explore! One recommendation I have is ""The Total Money Makeover"" by Dave Ramsey. It's a practical guide that offers step-by-step advice on getting out of debt, building an emergency fund, and creating a solid financial plan for the future.
If you're interested in saving money ( https://www.savingadvice.com ) and optimizing your financial decisions, these books can be incredibly helpful resources. Happy reading, and here's to your continued financial success!
