Any updated info on flight paramedic school for ARNG. Hard to land slot? Can you chose to opt out of commission with a bsn?

I went to the Flight Paramedic course in 2015 I currently have many past subordinates who are currently in the course or have graduated within the past year. I had several ARNG soldiers in my class as well. It is quite easy to land a slot, the F2 community is always looking to add more personnel to their roster. As far as with ARNG it will be different, as you know in the ARNG you have to compete for positions and if something is not available you have to wait. What I suggest since you are interested in this find the aviation unit in your state and give them a call. What state do you live in I may be able to help you? As far as the commission question I don't understand what your trying to get at.

(Join to see) I can help out a bit with this question. Unfortunately unless you're a Nationally Registered Paramedic already the chances of going straight from 68W AIT to Flight Paramedic are slim to none. I have 2 flight medics in my unit who did that, but they were both paramedics for years prior to joining the Army. Generally you'll need to be a medic for a year prior to submitting your flight medic packet but there are definitely exceptions to the rule. They make exceptions all the time it seems these days.

SGT (Join to see) - Thankfully now that I am a Drill Sergeant down in Whiskey land I can work more on getting Soldiers into the program by working with the F2 Cadre.
