I currently have 2 100kW generators that are giving myself and CECOM a run for our money. Thought I'd ask here, I imagine there's a lot of knowledge here.

Figured out the problem for the first generator. It is a faulty IAPCV. Thank you to everyone who helped. Now time to work on Generator #2.

For the first fault, make sure your E-Stop button isn't pushed in. If that doesn't work, try bypassing it. I've seen a lot of those fail and cause this fault. Are these HAMMPS? If so, like others stated, not enough or too much of any of the fluids will shut it down too.

Anybody have any advice on 100kW TQG (MEP-807A) generator faults?

ME? I would do a 317 Kilo with a 45FBI, if it's DOA. Then wire a B-17 to the frazzle phlange, and switch to AAA batteries. Crieky, what was the question, again???????

Wire a B-17 to the frazzle phlange? Hmm, didn't think of that. Smart to bypass the flux capacitor to route DC kilowattage to the hyper junction power thingy! Thatll definitel give enough pressure to the block and move the plunger in the up right and down position which will inhibit the starting mechanism. Thank you for the advice!

I was USAF Power Production, we had mostly older MEP's but a few 807A's. 90% of the problems we had were fuel related, especially when related to hunting, surging or failure to start and run. The first check was always draining the water separators and slumdougy from the bottom of the tank. If it just got serviced and had filters replaced, bleed air from filters and fuel lines. Start simple and go from there.

MSG,

Was just serviced. Brand new filters. Lines and filters have been bled and CAT E-Tool is registering good fuel/oil pressure. I'm still leaning towards some component with the HEUI system but I don't know how to completely troubleshoot it. Thank you for your advice.

2) Generator starts and will run. Occasionally (no pattern found yet) the voltage and frequency will start to fluctuate. Checked program on DVR and it checks out but when the voltage and frequency fluctuate certain programs are self adjusting. Replaced DVR but didn't change the problem. Have ran it on a load for quite sometime (roughly 70kW) but it'll just shut down randomly when this happens.

work on 60K , some years back. dose it have oil alert & or battle over ride . with oil alert if oil psi drops or foliates it will shuts down ! cheek oil level , cheek when oil was last change , cheek oil alert sending unite , is oil presser sending unite working ? fluctuating could be cased by the Eng. NOT running smove dose it have an elc. fuel pump ? if so is it getting hot . if so change it. dose the alt. have a fuse on the back side . if so cheek it to see if it is good , or making good connection . start with simple things first .

1) Cranks but won't start. Followed fuel lines to ensure there's no air. Tested fuel pump and it's pumping. Connected CAT ET and injectors are working properly. Thinking either timing sensors or IAPCV (Injection Actuator Pump Control Valve)
