Have you ever found yourself on mail buoy watch?

Ever been handed a kapok life vest and broom and told to fend off any monkeys that try to board during a Suez Canal transit?

How about being sent after the elusive ID10T that the chief needs right away?

I'd like to hear some of the other service gags run on the new guy. Let's hear em please!

I'm sure it's been said but a big one is sending a new guy to go get chem light batteries or a left handed broom.

Telling someone to go find the key to the sea chest, so they can get a hand full of DCA nuts.

Tell someone to go to the painting gear locker and get 100 yards of flight line.

It's on the shelf with the Flight-line, Squelch Oil, box of Grid Squares, and Prop Wash.

After you pick those up, go to your PSG, and ask him where the PRC-E7 is.

We sent an Airman plane captain trainee to the flight line with a trash bag to get an exhaust sample from a F-14.
Needless to say we told him to do it from a distance don't want to hurt anyone. LOL
