Sure do, that was good for at least one person twisting an ankle during the test.

Yes, I remember the run, dodge and jump which we refered to as the run, trip and fall. Those were the good days.

In 1973 I remember a 5 event PT Test; Run, dodge & jump, horizontal ladder bats, inverted crawl, sit-ups and the two (one) mile run, in full uniform to include leather soled combat boots, minus shirt if it was hot.
PT uniforms? We didn’t need no stinkin’ PT uniform!
Some from that time said it was a 6 event test with pushups. I think pushups eventually replaced the horizontal ladder bars, deemed a hazard.
Though most of us still had to do them before entering chow, when they were still available.
What do you mean washing hands before chow???

MAJ Kirk Heriot
The five events you described were the test until we moved to the current 3-event test in 1980.

I remember as a youth seeing the apparatus on the ROTC grounds at the nearby University,... not really the same thing though, just seeing it.
