There are several problems:
1. there are 50-60 seats per year for this ALC (and that is shared with Army Reserve), less during COVID.
2. Since 2018, the Guard priority for ALC has been E6 with no ALC, E5s offered promotion, then E5s.
3. Regardless of priority, low density MOS NCOES must get booked about 9-12 month out at a minimum.
4. Your state doesn't get many quotas for this ALC, and your unit may not know how to get a non-quota seat, they should be talking to your G3/J3 Schools section to find out how.
For FY21 your state has two total quotas for this school, in FEB 2021 and APR 2021 and they are both already reserved. Those ATRRS apps went in last month.
Your best bet is to be ready to swap in (ready means your DTS account and GTC are up to date, and you are eligible for school) in case on of these has to cancel, if your state schools can't get you an unused seat from another state, there are still 36 openings in FY21.
But to be frank, your chances remain low until you have a STEP promotion offer.

Thanks SGM, I understand what your saying, I guess I just thought that since I was in the slot and have been doing the Supervisor job that I could get a seat

SSG (Join to see) - If you're in the E6 slot and eligible for consideration for promotion, you should get offered that position as a promotion and that gets you the actual priority for school.

You should have a conversation with your Training NCO. As long as you're done with SSD/DLC2 you should be ready for ALC. COVID-19 may push it out a bit more though.

SSG (Join to see) I know it's frustrating. Just remember, the only one who really cares about furthering your career is yourself. Make sure you ask questions

SSG Cernich, thanks for the comment. I have tried many times to find answers but it always seems like it's not a priority for them at the time. I recently did a 9 month deployment (if that's what you want to call it)..to Kuwait and missed out on some pretty good money because of it
