Anyone else having trouble with getting Enrolled in ALC Common Core (Phase 1)?

Hey everybody, I don't know if it's just me, but as a SGT(P) who has already attended their residence portion (Phase 2) of ALC, I am having extreme trouble in getting enrolled into Phase 1 of ALC. I have contacted the NCOIC at HRC at Ft. Knox Kentucky, and have been told numerous times that there is an OML that has been created. I find it hard to believe, due to the simple fact that there are SGT non promotables within my battalion and company, those of whom I KNOW I am senior to, that are receiving enrollment into the course. If anyone has any type of guidance on what I can do, or where to being looking, it would greatly appreciated, due to the fact that this is the only thing that is keeping me from being promoted to SSG. Thank you and bless you all!

I got the chance to see CSM Daily (TRADOC CSM) yesterday and he stated that ALC Common Core will be transitioning to SSD 2. He said it is just too hard to get Soldiers enrolled and too hard for the Army to track it. It will also go from being worth 2 College credits to 4-6 depending on your educational goal. Not sure what the timeline will be for the change over.

SSD 2 is a great idea to get the force to the level they need to be. But it could be more engaging than SSD 1 or 3 they were so dry, the information was there but very dry.

Well thats great, but I hate to have to wait until the new system comes out. I just wish I could get this done already. Thanks for the info!

That's what they should have done in the first place; either make it SSD (as it is somewhat considered anyway) or leave it as one whole residence course instead of 2 course you have to sign up for separately

I have run into the same problem. And I know for a fact as you do that SGT non promotables and SGT(p)'s are being enrolled into the course. I also emailed HRC and was told the same crap. I then asked some questions as to why my peers are being enrolled before me and was completely ignored by the SFC, he only gave me the generic answer that I was not priority.

I submitted two 4187 thru my BN to HRC. Finally received CC after 15 months after completing phase two. My advise is to summit 4187 till you receive it. Good luck!
