Anyone experienced no early reporting on orders? My orders say nothing about early reporting. Is there there a way to arrive early?

I'd get the background first. When I arrived at Carson there was no housing for 8 months. So there may be a good reason as to the Why. SGT Gunderson has the answer as well.

It could do with time o. Station requirements at current duty station. It could be any variant of reasons.

Try contacting your branch manager and asking if you can get your orders amended to say early reporting authorized.

I'm trying to report feb or march. Only issue is there's no army dire need to do so I really just want to hurry up and leave. Had a talk with my csm and is going to try and work his Seargnt Major voodoo to convince who ever to take me from 3ABCT to 1SBCT in order to get placed in the tomahawk sister battalion over there.

How early are you talking? Normally a week or two is not a big deal, a local personnel office may be able to amend it. As LTC (Join to see) alludes there may be a reason like USR perstat type stuff. Housing is a perennial problem there.
Several months or weeks may break the bank for them. What ever you do, get your move locked in. 50 % of DoD, not just the Army, moves each summer. You don't want to get the guy who is trying to get back on the list, or is about to get kicked off it.
