SN (Join to see) SGT (Join to see) I am going to assume that you are using the default Unity Desktop Environment. To install Compiz on your system, open the terminal and type the following (You can cut and paste the commands from here into the terminal. Highlight them here, and use ctrl+C to copy them and Ctrl+Shift+V to paste them into the terminal):

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install compiz-plugins compiz-plugins-default compiz-plugins-extra compiz-plugins-main compiz-plugins-main-default

There is also a step by step guide here:

I don't have much experience with configuring OpenGL and I've never used Ubuntu but I know not every DE supports compiz. Have you tried downloading compizfrom the software center?

PO3 Dale S. - Are there specific steps that you know of for getting it to work on Ubuntu? I've never had issues with other distros and KWin was in included in my current KDE setup.
