My plan is to start college classes as soon as possible. I only have one more month until I am eligible for the MGI Bill. I am hoping to take the minimum amount of classes required due to the training schedule. But I really want to get all of the general ed classes out of the way, so when my contract is over I can transfer to a university and be a student full time while still in the reserves and take ROTC. What I am in need of is some advice and what I can do make my plan more guaranteed. Does anybody have any advice or suggestions for me? Anything will help!

Try to do a detailed bio sketch, it'd help us help you, interests, hobbies, reading, sports, martial arts, if any...also, any interest in flight? Would youmwamt warrant, e.g. Army WOCS for helicopters, as the Army high school to flight school program only needs high school, as the title saysz though I'd expect college would help, certainly...USCG also has its own scholarship programs, there's also a new program I just read of for WO1 for cyber in Navy, Army goes cyber by direct commission, USCG also has a separate direct commission engineer program....look also at the NOAA Commissioned Copra, which has an OCS, called the BOTC, as a tenamt unit at USMMA Kong's Point...their are also the USMA, USNA, and USAFA prep schools, of you'd want to try for an academy...at my installation, one airmain did get USAFA directly without the prep schollsz so it can be done...there's also USCGA, that:s by exam, not nomination, also, ROTC faculty heads, PMS, PNS, and PAS, for each svc, can nominate to their own academies, I was Army ROTC before going USAF OTS, my ROTC unit trained a good deal at West Point, I hadn't known about that rule, of have tired for it had I known, I think...look also at the state maritime colleges, which all have NROTC, as well as VMI and the Citadel, my best friend in USAF was VMI....

Online can be dome, however, of tales extraordinary self discipline, as well as highly developed study skills to do it right...also, if you can go for in person classom lectures I would...never sell textbooks, and your notes should be done on engineering pads, they're sold by Staples, they're far superior for taking notes, I assure you....

Also, are there local schools near your installation? Sometimes, contractors near an installation have schools in for undergrad or grad coursework from local colleges or universities, where I was had such grad level coursework fairly close by that I did try to make use of....

You need to do the DANTES and CLEP exam programs, as well as possibly the grad record exam (GRE) subject tests, not the genl test, the subject tests, those are rough, they used to be allowed for blocks of either 24 or 30 pass fail undergrad credits, half assocs level, half Bach level...also, normal assocs programs are around 60 credits minimum if regionally accred, Bach are 120 credits, many external, online distance programs also allow a 2nd assocs, or a 2nd Bach like the one I got...further, I don't know if the GRE subject tests can be used that way any longer, that might've been stopped, however, you could certainly do the DANTES or CLEP exams, maybe through your on installation ed ctr, which, if you've got one, you should basically view as a second home, honest....

Do you want a STEM major? Non-STEM? Clinical as I'd asked before? Nonclinical? You need to understand, a bachelors is insufficient to remain in once you'd be warrant of commissioned, the days when a bachelors sufficed are long gone...from day one, as warrant or commissioned, you'd be expected to get a masters, minimum, as well as prof mil edu (PME), both in whichever svc you'd be in, as well as others, I assure you, been there, done that (BTDT)....

I'm unsure if this was opened to other svcs than USAF, I'd read abt efforts to do so, however, others on here tell me it can only be used with a valid USAF AFSC, analogous to an Army MOS...I'd call and ask, I'd expect they've been asked if other svcs could use them, they're assocs only, however, you've got nothing to lose by asking, I should think, in any event....

This program is DETC accred, not regional, I'm unsure honestly if it'd he accepted by svcs, VA, or industry, I've read good things, they were endorse by Vatican, they have assocs and bach in bus admin, comp sci (CS), and health sci, and an MBA, I think they just started transfer credits, at least undergrad, I don't know about grad level, no tuition, only exam and admin costs, prorated by per capita income of a given country, their offs are in Calif, don't view them as a panacea, I do not, as I'd said, know if the svcs, VA, or industry accept them, I give it Jere for info only, don't do it unless you're absolutely sure, OK?
