Go to the lab and talk to the folks managing the schedule. Sometimes they have a few unpublished openings for boards and other no-notice requirements.

Call Camp Mabry; when I called they tried to get me in that day. They also do a great job. I prefer going there even when I'm not in a hurry.

You'd have to go to the visual website & call them they normally can get you in quicker if you call back daily to see if someone cancelled just like readiness appointment.

1SG (Join to see) When I was stationed at Fort Hood, ran into the same issue. I went one day and basically sat all day there until they could squeeze me in when someone did not show up. If not, I would suggest driving to the nearest military installation like other RP members already suggested.
