Trying to update a Soldiers ERB to reflect a 2008 deployment but S1 says I need his orders. He says he doesn't have any and doesn't know where they went. It was 15 months. I refuse to believe the army can't prove he was deployed to be able to reflect this on his erb but thats what my S1 says. Has anyone had this issue or know how to resolve this. We already checked mobcop and they have some of his orders but not the one I am looking for.

While I hope this soldier is able to get this resolved using his LES, I also hope that he takes away a valuable lesson from the situation; make sure that you keep a copy of EVERYTHING that the Army gives you! No. Keep 10 copies. Better yet, make sure that you also have a digital copy in case your crazy ex-wife decides to set your house on fire.

Try this link: https://mobcop.army.mil/MOBCOPHome.aspx
The MOBCOP is the gatekeeper to the various DAMPS portals that store Temporary Change of Station (TCS0 orders. The one you want to look into is DAMPS-ORDERS for TCS for deployments. It requires AKO/CAC login and allows you to either view the orders online or request them from the issuing authority.
I had no proof of my deployment with my unit 09-10 and Fort Riley gave me a 48 hour turn-around on the full orders after I used this system.

Another recommendation would be contacting your old unit commander and having them write a Memorandum for record stating when you deployed, the tour length, awards earned to include combat patches.

In Iperms you should have a copy of your deployment orders. If not, you can write St. Louis where all military records are kept.
