Anyone serve during in the Navy during '78 - '82 in the 7th Fleet?

I served aboard the USS Francis Hammond (FF-1067) and the USS White Plains (AFS-4) both homeported out of Yokosuka, Japan. I did my whole tour from there. Anyone have some good stories of serving in the Orient during that time and want to share??

Remember the Midway very well!! Always won the regatta. But then the Midway had an unfair advantage in having the entire team composed of Samoans!! Hehehehe.....
