Anyone stationed at JBER with 4-25? What does the barracks situation look like for single E-5s?

I can't help you with your question, but I can tell you it was my favorite assignment being stationed at Fort Richardson. If you enjoy the outdoors and fishing, you will be happy!

You can always find Soldiers or Airmen selling their gear cheaply when they leave. I got all mine lightly used for a fraction the price. Worth every penny. Plus they have a lot of military appreciation events with free lift tickets and discounts.

SGT Largoza, It depends on which Battalion you are in and could have changed since I was there. A Sergeant will not have to have a roommate. The newer barracks have nice rooms with basic cooking capabilities. The older barracks have shared bathroom and showers, but there are NCO rooms that have their own bathrooms and showers. There are no stoves or counter space in the old barracks. You would have to use the one in the common room. Beyond the barracks 4/25 is the best Brigade I've ever been in and you will likely enjoy being a part of it.
