I'm noticing a bunch of flight schols that claim they accept GI Bill. Contact the registrar from te place you are considering and they will hook you right up.

The flight school has to be a Part 141 certified school with a set curriculum. Those that are certified to accept the GI Bill will have been vetted. If you do not already have the Post 9/11 GI Bill I recommend that you apply for it. It is much more user friendly when it comes to flight training. The Montgomery GI Bill will not pay for initial flight training and will only cover up to 60% of additional ratings after obtaining your private pilot license. The Post 9/11 GI Bill will however get you on the right path.

I have not personally used it but have looked into it many times. I payed out of pocket for flight school in 2005 while I was stationed at Fort Benning. If you have any specific questions I would be more than happy to answer them if I can. In the mean time I recommend checking out http://www.AOPA.org and become a member. They are offering a free 1 year membership to active duty military and they offer a wealth of information and can also point you in the right direction.

Good Luck!
