Are members of the SMCR allowed to enter MSG duty if all requirements are met?

I cannot locate a pub, MARADMIN or MCO that disallows reservists to put in a package for this. Please advise.

Go talk to your PSR at your unit. He should have you fill out an Individual Augmentee package and he can tell you what billets are available for specific MOS's, rank, and location. MSG would be included in that. Don't forget to let you Chain of Command know your intentions too, they may know some people doing B billets that can put in a good word for you

In addition to the time-in-service requirements others have mentioned, I believe MSG watch standers (not NCOICs) have to be unmarried. At least they did when I was an MSG 30-plus years ago.

You are correct. In addition; all Watchstanders must remain single for their entire tour.
Now that female Marines are eligible for Embassy Duty, they must not get pregnant for the entirety of they tour. Married or not.

This program is no longer volunteer basis and has become voluntell for various reasons. If you happen to be active duty and married you may volunteer but will only be able to do MSAU the augment unit for MSG. As far as us Watch Standers have been told.

The MSG school had / has one of the highest attrition rates in the Corps. I'm curious as to why they would accept someone that was volunTOLD. MSG BN could care less whether they graduate 1 or 100 out of a class. When I was there they dropped MSgt thru LCpl without blinking. Why would you set a Marine up for failure like that? It's been forever since I was there so I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just genuinely curious as to how this could happen.
