SGT Aaron Olivas when I watch a movie I try not to pay attention to those details so I can enjoy. The only thing I can't help is that I want to be there fighting too.
I.E. The Thin Red Line, Stop Lossed, etc.

I still watch them but I'm always looking for mistakes, improper uniforms or if they put the military in a positive light.

Same here. Always looking for anything that stands out. I understand a certain amount of information that needs to different form normal ops, but some things are ridiculous.

The only thing that made me more angry than "The Hurt Locker" was "The Hurt Locker" winning an Oscar, and how ignorant the general public is for thinking how they really "got that one right"

I heard the same about zero dark 30. Just curious, as a sailor we always said "O dark 30". Is that true with the other services?

Sometimes, It was the Vietnam era; I was 17 and was never deployed. I just had friends and knew others who had been . I rarely met any one who would talk about what they saw or experienced. Even so, it didn't take long to become grateful that I hadn't been.

Oh please, Godzilla or Battleship? I'm surprised you didn't throw in Battle for LA too. All three are sci-fi movies as is Battlestar Galactica. I just finished "Fury" and found it extremely entertaining as was "Lone Survivor" and I can't wait to see "American Sniper." The more accurate the tale the more interested I am, but please don't equate fiction with non-fiction.

Anytime there is any movie with a Uniforms on , portraying real time line's such as today, I give it the hardest of time, because just shows their lack of respect for their art which is making movies. Fiction or Not making something look like a bowl of hot soup was not made on purpose. .lol

I also assume your TV was secure when watching Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Midway and possibly Where Eagles Dare but not when Independence Day was aired, another sci-fi "planetary" war film?

I Saw ID4 in the Theaters on 7/04 when it came out, being I was nothing near old enough to Join the Ranks of real men till later, but I have to Admit it was easyier to watch these movies before joining, but after serving and loss I have more Respect for the Uniforms and Flag then I ever had in my life. I respect your Opinion and you outlook which is a Positive one... I just personally have a hard time all around these days if I find myself in-front of a Screen with uniforms that I know of.
