Pretty self explanatory. I received a VUA from 2012 deployment. Unit I’m in now has a bunch as well. Do I wear my VUA with their citations on my ASU coat, or do I have to choose whether to wear theirs or mine?

You wear them together.
BREAK
Having said that, if you have a personal unit award, and a subsequent unit has the same one, you only wear yours. Identical unit awards cancel each other out, you don't add OLC's.
"1 A Soldier may wear the unit award permanently if the individual was assigned to, and present for duty with the unit any time during the period cited; or who was attached by competent orders to, and present for duty with the unit during the entire period, or for at least 30 consecutive days of the period cited. When a Soldier is permanently awarded a unit award and is subsequently assigned to a unit that has received the same unit award, the Soldier will wear the permanent award in lieu of the temporary unit award."

Lotta different answers here. This is the one.
Say you've earned a VUA and 2 MUC, and the unit you're in has 6 PUC, 2 VUA and 1 MUC
You wear 6 PUC 1 VUA and 2 MUC
Permanent trumps temporary, but not an all or nothing thing

If you were in a unit that was awarded a unit citation at the time you were assigned, then that is yours to wear from here on out. If and when you transfer to another unit that has unit citations, you can choose to where the citations of the new unit if you desire. However, if you are taking a DA Photo, you must take those off and only wear what is yours. You would also take them off when transferring again. The only ones that stay are your specific ones.

DA PAM 670-1 para 20-10. It says ALL unit awards may be worn.
"c. How worn. All permanent and temporary unit award emblems, with or without frames, are worn in the order of precedence from the wearer’s right to left. Unit awards are worn on the right side of the uniform, regardless of which service or agency awarded them. Only one emblem representing the same unit award is worn at one time. Unit award emblems awarded with frames are worn with the laurel leaves of the frame painting upward. Award emblems are worn in rows containing no more than three emblems per row, with no space between emblems, and with up to 1/8 inch space between rows, depending upon the size of emblems with frames. Personnel may wear unit awards when wearing full-size medals or service ribbons, but they may not wear them with miniature medals..."
