Are RP discussions getting too political? I put a 90 ban on my FB account because it is filled with negativity. I hate to do the same for RP?

I'd welcome a requirement that posts must have a least one tag which is directly related to the military; except for beer... maybe whiskey too... and skydiving.

CMSgt Virgil Horsley - I could buy that; or an algorithm which determines you're required a ratio of military to nonmilitary posts; military being the majority.

CMSgt Virgil Horsley - Serioulsly people post crap just for points or make dumb comments just for points like J " thanks for the share".

I wouldn't want to limit it strictly to military, because I learn all sorts of things about a wide range of topics from a lot of different people. For me, RP's strength is the shared bond we all have for either having served, or still serving, not just the military info I might come across (which is also of course very interesting.) I'd be happy to outright ban politics, though.

SN Greg Wright - I wouldn't want us to ban politics because our CinC (POTUS) is a politician. But I'd prefer discussions regarding him be limited to military issues.

Other than politics, I feel RP is getting way to negative. I wish the users on this site would focus on the positive to rebuild and help other people than just pointing fingers.

Sgt Wayne Wood - I am right there with you. But I am going to disengage from any other discussion on politics. I hope to bring more positivity in my life.

Sgt Wayne Wood -
I have my own views (most know I'm center-left, or in some cases, true neutral), but my goal isn't to push my agenda. It's more-so to unite everyone towards the same cause, which is to continue to build our country. It starts with understanding one another while being subjective to one's own values. I tend to not speak to one sided arguments because it goes nowhere.

PO1 Chris V. - I think you have a good idea. Putting your time into something makes you happy.

A negative President produces negativity. For example an RP member asked me to tone down disrespectful language towards Stump. In which I replied he was disrespectful towards women, minorities and the disabled and this man holds the highest position in the land so why should I show him any respect?
