I'm at work this morning and an LTC and I were telling a young SGT about field phones. He'd said that he had never seen one. I guess I've lost SA on if they are being used anymore. RIP?

They came off the property book while I was a commander in 2010. We still had them but they were no longer tracked.

Not sure why they would come off your property book Sir, I know that as far as 2015, my last year of service, they were still on the property book of an Infantry company.

LTC (Join to see) - LMAO - Lord Knows, PBO, And my wife wonders why I am Bald - Had the pleasure of being the Rear D NCOIC for a company, and had to deal with PBO regularly - Gave me a new understanding and respect for XO's.

SSG Robert Perrotto My rear D refused to sign for anything (not the guy I selected) and I didn't find out until a week prior to flying to Afghanistan. Needless to say I had a huge FLIPL to resolve after change of command. I kept good records and Found all of it when I returned. Too late for my OER though.

I saw some floating around in some guard units over time. They have fallen out of favor and I think no longer used.
