SFC (Join to see) - Just sayin'
Have you checked the regs? If the regs say they're good to go then they're good to go. If the regs specifically forbid dual color gloves then the answer would be no. I would say though, that if they're not good to go and you chose to rock them, I would not care one way or the other, and anyone who did is really petty and nit picky. Just my two cents.

While the dual colors are not authorized, I would find it hard to find someone other than a blue falcon to call you out (outside of TRADOC). If they are serving their purpose, you won't find me saying anything. How many people wear sunglasses/eye pro that are technically not authorized?

Uniformity is always nice..... but better to keep your hands warm! I'm sure if we read deep enough in the regs, they may not be. It also depends on how we read it. But I always wondered what the big deal was. Yes, we want to be uniform, but we are not Imperial Stormtroopers. If we are in a formal ceremony, then we all wear the same gloves. But other than that, give us a little leeway. Black, brown, tan, green, but not purple, yellow, blue, etc.

The Army has been issuing dual color Nomex gloves to Armor Crewman for as long as I can remember. First they were the OD Green with Black then with they switch to the lovely pastel colors of the ACU era they were the pastel green with grey. I even believe the tan ones were two different colors. As long as they don't stand out or have logos that stand out I wouldn't bust anyone out for wearing them.

Roger, I'm aware of the reg. was mainly asking if anybody would bother with correcting somebody wearing these.

other than they are Oakley's, what is the material? Is it flame retardant? Are they nylon? We have the green and grey Nomex gloves, the all black gloves and the green and darker green. I wouldn't see why they wouldn't, as long as they don't produce a larger injury than what is already happened. Burn injury?

Oh no, that wasn't what I meant Staff Sergeant. Meant that it could cause injury. Fire and then they melt to the skin.
