I think most of the 173rd was moved to Grafenwohr Germany.
There is still some in Italy, but doubtful you'd be able to get there as a 13F SPC since it's a HIgher headquarters that's still there I think.

As far as I know all the 13F were moved to the Artillery battalions in 2013 across the Army. But if the 173rd retained theirs at the unit, a good idea in my mind, then you would be expected to attend Airborne school. HRC just released a message saying they were accepting non airborne qualified Soldiers of certain MOS's into the 173rd and they had to attend airborne school within a year. 13F wasn't on that list though

yep that my worry it been like that in my previous and current duty station. any idea who i can contact do find out if 173rd did retain 13F and not move them to artillery battalions? i would hate to reenlist and be assigned FA that for some reason is stationed in germany. but still assigned to 173rd

SPC (Join to see) if you reenlist for Italy, then you go to Italy. It says Italy or Germany right on the front page of the contract

Yes there are. I served in 1-503rd (A), 173rd ABCT from '14-'17. We had a fister PLT in HHC, and each line company had fisters. I'd say call branch and secure your bag. It was the best assignment I've had.
Then again, I just reread your post. I didn't hear anything about them pulling 13F from maneuvers units.

SPC (Join to see) yep. Since Airborne assignments are a voluntary assignment, if you volunteer for an airborne assignment, you owe the airborne community 3 years of airborne time.
