Double slotting against what? What will go on the ORB, OER and manning roster? Is this to smooth out a timing issue? PAM 600-3 limits KD time to 24 months....but it's imperative to get as close to 24 months as possible.

Need more detail

CPT (Join to see) - so there is currently an O4 that is formally slotted as the Battalion Executive Officer. Is this soldier not available, under investigation, or assigned elsewhere (sucked in a HHQ, at PME, deployed, individual tasked etc)?

Is it a temporary dual slot or what? This happens from time to time to smooth out timing issues and pro dev.

Obviously you can't both ride the bike at the same time. Which one is THE Battalion XO?

LTC Jason Mackay The one MAJ is retiring and the other MAJ is currently in a "awaiting assignment" position and is not getting credit (time) for that position. The retiring MAJ can not be moved due to a Med Board issue. So is it ok to double slot both MAJs in the Battalion XO slot?

CPT (Join to see) - someone has to run the BN. The fact that the one guy is a loss and the the other is doing the job, this is fairly vanilla. Yes I think it is ok, except the guy doing the job is not getting credit for the KD position. I'd be scheduling an office call with the senior rater to see what could be done about that.

CPT (Join to see) - at the end of the day, the UMR will show someone in a transient status until the other issue clears. The is the OER needs to read correctly. As soon as the individual moves to a new job, the 1st previous can be tinkered with. A good personnel warrant can church up his ORB.
