Are you aware of any online courses soldiers can get to earn Promotion Points under the Military Education category that will count as Resident Courses. I am not talking about Skillport or correspondence courses points. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

EDIT:
These no longer count for promotions points as of the latest HRC Residents course codes for Military ED.
There are a few courses you can take on JKO that count as 40 hour blocks. Login to JKO and search for the following courses:
Fundamentals of Personnel Recovery (ERB Code AEO)
Joint Medical Planner (ERB Code ERK)
Nato Peace Support Operations (ERB Code EVY)
Nato Partner Operational Staff (ERB Code UNK)
after completing, submit to your S-1
hope this helps

The answers here scare me.
Absolutely NO online courses can count under Resident training, nor should they be added to the ERB.

SSDs don't count for anything other than fulfilling a requirement either. No correspondence course points or anything since it's mandated for career progression. Try volunteering for 40-hour courses like UPL ,Master Gunner, CLS etc. Army Career Tracker search option can help you narrow down the courses. DL courses can help you fill up the points for correspondence courses though. Are you already maxed in correspondence and college?

There ARE online courses you can take on ATTRS that count as Resident Courses and go on your SRB. I just had one put on yesterday. Hit me up if you would like to know the course.

CBRN still counts, the class has to be listed on your attrs transcript according to an email sent out by HRC. The following are located on the attrs transcript. I dont know if they are still worth points according to the updated class list posted by HRC.

There are many DL courses you can take for promotion points. Here is the link to all courses that are good for promotion points. http://www.ncosupport.com/military-training/promotion-points.html and http://www.ncosupport.com/files/Mil_Ed_Yes_No2.pdf
This should help you out a lot. Most of these courses can be found in ATTRS or ALMS through your AKO.

HRC Enlisted Promotions has provided the attached 2013 course list to inform Soldiers of those courses which are valid for promotion points at 4 points per week, and those which are not.

SPC Stasiulatis, what is the resident course code for the joint targeting staff course? I can not find it on the list and my S1 will not accept it without a code on it...Thank you

I have heard from that these courses no longer count towards residential training. You can put them on your ERB but it won't count on your PPW. do you know anything about that? Thanks.

If you do not physically sit in the class, it wasn't resident training; you don't use codes from the resident training list, for online courses 1LT (Join to see)

None of these online courses are valid anymore for Resident Course Points for Promotion. Yes your S1 can manually put them in, however they are invalid and per the MILPER message you are lying. Check out the following link, it is the updated course list for Resident Courses and it clearly states it in BOLD RED sentences.

The link says invalid. When did the milper message come out saying that online courses does not count for promotion points?

SSG (Join to see) - It's not that "online courses do not count for promotion points", it's that online courses DO NOT COUNT as resident training. Refer to AR 600-8-19, the HRC SGT/SSG Promotions FAQ", and the eMILPO Field Users Guide.

SFC (Join to see) - Got it. I took some of these courses that they have mention back in 2013. Apparently I'm being audited for the courses because they were not ATRRS courses. I advise no one to use online course for resident. Even if they are marked yes on the Mil_Ed list.

There is a Google link floating around here somewhere however the promotion point system now only give points for classes that no one wants. I would want to touch the bus driver course with a 12 foot pole.

I don't know if it is still available, but when I was at Bragg, I took the Marine Corps Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course via home study. It counted towards military education.

S1 should not add any correspondence courses to that block. There are 12 listed on the resident course code list but for whatever reason they are also on the CCC list. I would suggest going to your team leader and requesting classes.

thank you sgt I am working on getting some classes but it is slow and rare to come by reason I am finding other ways to get my goals accomplished.

You really should not have any issues going to CLS, and Combatives level 1. Ask your team leader for the opportunities. You schools NCO should have a list of all the classes you can goto. If your not maxed out on correspondence take SSD 1 and Defense Distribution Management. That'll get you over 300 hrs alone. DDM even has a source link to go back and find the answers during the test. Takes and hour or so.

Unless the Army changes the deadline, SSD-1 will not give any promotion points after 1 Jul 14 per MILPER message 14-016

you are right SFC, SSD 1 doesn't give points no more. Now it is a requirement for WLC and Promotion board.
