Are UExcel exams free or discounted for military personnel?

They are not free or discounted but, if they are accredited, you can use your VA GI Bill to pay for them if you do not want to fund them yourself. Your best bet, is to use DANTES and CLEP to knock out as many Liberal Arts credits as you can. Those are free and you can take them at a local Education Center.

I got a second bachelors in math through them, back when they were USNY (not SUNY) Regents College/External Degrees (RCD/RED). They then privatized, and split off from the NYS govt so!e yrs after I got it. I've called their topo free phone line, they're quite helpful. I also did the GRE subject tests, not the general test, I had to get minimum passing raw scores (not percentiles) to get 30 pass fail undergrad credits, 15 assoc level, 15 bach level, I don't kmow if Excelsior still uses them, though you might ask, I did the ones in engineering, physics, and math, the physics one took me three tries to pass, I kmow a few no longer exist. Also, look at http://www.uopeople.edu, it's not conventionally accredited, and I quite honestly don't know how the services or VA view it, however, I'd read there wasmVatican endorse!meet of it to some extent, apparently, plus, while it's not cheap, with only comp sci, bus admin, and healthmsci for !ajors, assoc and bach, they do have an MBA, and only require one to pay admin and exam costs, don't just assume it's for you, I only suggest it, as I've read some good things about it, check first it's DETC (formerly NHSC) accredited, which is a legitimate accrediting group, though, as I'd said, I don't know how it's accepted yet by themsvcs, the VA, or, also, industry, so check very, very carefully, OK? Give them a call and ask, or if you're already enrolled send them a message using your Excelsior message system. Since the exam only costs 110.00 per test and military tuition is already reduced to 250.00 per semester hour it's doubtful but ask anyway and see.
