I'm sure I'm not aware of everything he's done, but my ears always perk up whenever I hear or see something about (or by) him. He's a green-collar celebrity if ever there was one.

Yes, he is awesome. I got to meet him at MCRD San Diego, when one of his family members graduated Recruit Training.

My first impressions of Gary Sinise were from watching him on CSI: New York. I learned later that he portrayed Lt Dan Taylor in Forrest Gump and that he formed the Lt Dan Band. In CSI: New York, I was impressed both by his acting and the generally positive portrayal of Military service members and veterans. It is somewhat interesting that Gary placed Mac Taylor in CSI after playing LT Dan Taylor in Forrest Gump. Personally I am glad that he...

Did you see all the awards he has ??? Mr Sinise has often said playing the role of a wounded Army Vet in "Forrest Gump" was the impetus for him to do all he could for those who were wounded especially Vietnam Veterans.
