It's a little embarrassing, but I have to admit it: I never gave Lady Gaga any credit as a "real" singer until I watched her Sound of Music/Julie Andrews tribute on youtube. I was prejudiced against her because I thought of her as an outlandish, garish, anything for the sake of shock-value hack. Sure, she had a couple of catchy tunes, but I figured that without the auto-tuner she was just another music company creation with no real talent.
I am the one who is now singing a different tune. Lady Gaga demonstrated real talent and singing ability. She was graceful, poised, and gracious to Ms Andrews. Who'da thunk it, right? At this point, I'm glad she showed me my weakness, so that I can work to make it stronger. I still don't like her tattoos.
