Consumers Union's EndRobocall.org is dedicated to reversing Section 301 of the recent budget act which allows debt collectors to call your cell phone. Section 301 allows calls to your cell phone by collectors pursuing you for educational debt and other federal indebtedness. Those lobbyists and congressional staffers are a sneaky bunch!

When I get those, I use a few options. When it is those that are for medical insurance crap, I answer the electronic questions until it asks me if I am over 65. When I answer yes, it tells me I am not qualified and will remove ME from their call list. Another one I use is I just say Rumplestiltskin a few times then the call just hangs up on me. I have not had a call in some time.

I wish that I could get these cops and firemen to stop calling me on my cell asking for money.
