As a 25S, how likely is it that I will be stationed in Fort Hood if I request that on my "dream sheet" as my first duty station?

I don’t have much experience yet however, I put Fort Carson on my ASK and on my wishlist in ACT. As of 2 weeks ago, I have projections to Carson and should be heading there as soon as I finish AIT. The answer is always no until you ask!

I think 3rd Sig Bde is still there, at least during my tour of Hood. Since 4ID moved to Carson I'm not sure how many slots 1st Cav would have, IF any. This new modularity design could open opportunites in 3rd ACR if they are still there. But, overall it's possible, but I'm out of the loop on the Hood experience as of late.

Why in the world would you REQUEST Hood?! I’ve been here since I was four years old; you’re not missing out on much :)

Pray for the 57th ESB, they train all the time, when i was there it was expected to out perform the CAV units. 57th has a good group of soldiers. I am bless to have served with such good people.

It’s just as easy to get to Hood as any other large base. If it is your first assignment, you are going where they need you.
