I believe there is a lot of training available if you're in the right place and time to take advantage of it. OEM will train as part of a procurement, but if you're not buying....

No there is never enough training for medical equipment repair, but then you can always specialize. My biggest problem as a civilian is the manufacture allowing you to work on their equipment. You can only get training where ever it is offered providing you have the skills to retain it.
