The impact! The impact we made on the countries and surrounding region we were deployed to, and the impact that I was able to make on others as well as the difference they made in my life by the influences they had on me both personally and professionally.

speaking of impact, The only real English I was able to teach the local nationals were, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice scream". - They and everyone around loved it as well, a true small bit of winning the hearts and minds.

What matters most is the soldiers I served with in all aspects of military life. The people are what makes the situation and circumstances memorable. Always do what is right for others first then yourself. Making the most of the time in service by maintaining and demonstrating a healthy attitude with positive perspective is what matter most.
