As AGR, can you PCS to Active Army? If so, how do you go about it?

You can do AGR tours with AC units. I am currently with the XVIII Airborne Corps. Talk to your career manager.

I retired AGR Title 10 and was assigned to Army Commands. That was not your question. Question asked if an AGR could PCS to Active Army. The answer is no.

If its your first AGR tour, very few commands will cut you loose for AD. You will have to ETS first then try to come back on AD. More times than not, lose a stripe or two in the process.

SSG Caples,
That is NOT correct information you are giving this soldier. Number one is is already on "ad" and receiving all the benefits of an active duty soldier, since this is his first tour in AGR he must complete a good 20yrs of AFS (Active Federal Service) to retire with full benefits thereof. Now since he is promotable to E-7, HRC will not allow him to access into the rolls for active duty.
Correction:
(Once he gets orders for E7)
