But, 1SG (Join to see) , MI is close to Infantry, right? And since GO's can alter their uniform as they see fit, then I guess they can also choose what branch affiliation they are in.

I wouldn't accept. However, she could have married Mr. Garcia after the pic. It's possibly legit, but I don't accept LinkedIn invitations from people I don't know.

I run the Upstate Veterans Business Network, so I get invites all the time from Veterans, but this one looked very suspicious. I already blocked her. Better safe than sorry.

As of Jan, 2016, there have been no female officers entered into Infantry Branch. And another dead giveaway is that Infantry (make or female) would be sporting the Cord of the Gods (the Infantry cord) on their shoulder. This picture bears no such cord or crossed rifle insignia. So the fraudulent title is made apparent.

I just check that profile out on LI. Had a default message returned indicating "Sorry, this profile couldn't be displayed." Whoever/Whatever that was about, it looks like this profile has disappeared from LinkedIn. You may have caught a poser... (?)

When I worked with COL Leahy, at Belvoir, she was getting ready to pin BG. Looks a lot like the photo. Definitely some type of hoax to do something bad. You can download GO photos all day long on Google.
