I'm prior service Navy now in the army, my question is do I wear Overseas Service Bars in my ASU if I was deployed twice with the Navy (2006, 2007)?

More rare cases are always easier to solve if you just contact HRC Awards branch directly. Too much abiguity otherwise. Regulation is great, but is up to interpretation. Go to the authority. Get it in writing.

Yes but only if you were in a designated combat zone. Sailing the high seas doesn't count. Did you earn a campaign ribbon?

Were you deployed to an environment for a period of 6 months or longer that is deemed a hostile environment? Being on a boat in international waters does not count.

You realize those stationed oconus get overseas service ribbons? Including Alaska. I’ve been stationed in USARAK twice and got overseas ribbons both times. 2012-2015 and 2017-2018SSG (Join to see)

You do understand that a overseas service ribbon and overseas service bar are completely different right? SFC (Join to see)

My apologies, I read it as OSR. It’s after midnight in Afghanistan, I’m suffering from lack of sleep. Lol. SSG (Join to see)

SSG (Join to see) - It does apply IAW AR 670-1 section 12. I was in the Persian Gulf and Golf of Oman in support of OIF and OEF
