At this time last year do you think Donald Trump thought he would be the Republican Candidate for President?

Over the last year I have been watching this election unfold. I didn't think Trump stood a chance in the primaries and looked at it as him building his business. I was pretty sure Clinton would be the nominee from the Democrat side, but could not have fathomed this. Do you think Trump knew he would be the Candidate?

Honestly I think he was blindsided by the amount of support he actually received.

I have heard some say that he really doesn't want to be POTUS, that he is just putting on a show for shits and giggles. The more successful he is, the more boorish he gets.

No. I honestly feel like there was some validity to this meme. I also feel like he may have come off strong in order to disqualify himself, but that made people like him more. I can see what people like about him. He's very charismatic. But I don't think he imagined himself getting this far, especially when he had like 15 other contenders for the seat.

This is what I think as well. I love the Meme. I don't want to say it was all a publicity stunt that turned into Uh Oh now I'm the Nominee. But I do think he wanted some of his message out there in the beginning so the other candidates would take credence to it and the support out grew what he expected. Of course we all know that Trump would not admit to this.

I don't believe he knew would! I believe he was confident he had a GOOD Chance! Everybody that Ran for President had NO Fight in them and he sensed that! However, to some Degree I believe he surprised himself with how well he did in regards to Voter Turnout! We were ALL Surprised he was able to do that well! Especially with no political experience! He spoke the Language of most People in the Country and they were DRAWN to him! That's the bottom Line!

No, I picked Rubio. I haven't been right about anything. Least of all 'Game of Thrones'.

YES I did as a matter of fact. Should have checked the odds and placed my bet back then!

I think he really believed he could beat out the other republicans candidates as they all had a weakness or lacked appeal. His strategy was to create his own appeal by using their weakness against them and exploit a disillusioned voter base. It worked to this point.

Yes it has. This time last year I was unsure if he was serious about running, and even now I still wonder if he expected to be the Candidate.

A couple of years ago most people believed the candidates for president would be Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush. we all expected months of posturing as prospective candidates were eliminated, leaving Clinton and Bush in the end. I don't think anyone in, or out of this country expected Trump to defeat 16 Republican candidates. As I see it now, there is a money problem in the Republican Party supporting Trump. I don't think either party wants Trump in the White House. If Clinton is elected the status quo will be maintained and money will continually flow into the offices of Congress. If Trump is elected and Chris Christy is his Attorney General---a lot of our elected officials are going to wind up in an orange jumpsuit. I'd give up my pension, social security and go back to work to see that one come to pass.

No, he did not. He's a Clinton supporter specifically in the race to get her elected. Can't stand either of them. They are both lying, deceptive and dishonest liberal Democrats.
