WOW, I'm on a roll of miss spelling words. LOL

These people are running away from their homes...seeking asylum in this country and other countries...they are refugees... Unlike illegal immigrants who try and cross our borders just to come here to do whatever.

DO YOU THINK THE US SHOULD ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO COME TO THE US?

well it seems out of votes for the day. If they can make it here on their own...should they be allowed to cross the border and enter the US?

Sgt Kelli Mays - Considering what we do for illegal Mexican and other nataionalities from that direction, if they could make it here, then yes... But should we? I would say, anyone escaping war or persecution, we should do our best to take care of them before taking care of those coming here illegally for the ride...

Oh wow, a land locked country that has at least one other country to act as a buffer before these refugees get to Austria! May Austria always be the torch bearer of dealing with refugees!!!

Honestly, not right now. We have enough issues with illegal immigration. Fix the broken system and revisit the refugee thing, later. We aren't the only country in the world, let the rest of the world shoulder some of the burden for a while.

Austria welcomes migrants with open arms...People seeking asylum...How's it different from the thousands of illegals coming here to the US?

Those countries in Europe are infinitely smaller in size than us, but they are suffering influxes of illegals that will also swamp their national capacities to provide adequate assistance. The USA, on the other hand, is suffering from MILLIONS of illegal aliens that have crossed our very porous southern border. We CANNOT sustain this kind of invasion without facing an extremely severe financial crisis, as well. Several western states already are being crushed by the medical, educational, and welfare costs of these illegals. On this crisis, I agree with Trump that we deport as many as possible, however it's feasible to do, and then literally build an impregnable wall with highly controlled and highly limited entrance and exit points. This IS as high a level of national security as we could possibly face. Immigration MUST BE curtailed and stringently controlled. The days of Ellis Island and ocean liners full of eager, hard-working European immigrants is long over.
