Is there any way to back date a flag? Long story short I was erroneously flagged while slotted for ALC. Ended up getting dropped from the class cause of the flag and was told my HRC I needed a packet signed by my first GO in my CoC to get rescheduled. This was two years ago, getting packets all the way up to division is...difficult...anyway I recently contacted the ALC schools guy and he told me if I can get him a 268 with proof I was flagged erroneously he can slit me in attrs. The kicker is I no longer have the flag paperwork and don’t know where to go to find it so to get said 268 it would need to be re made and signed off on.

Contact your old unit to see if they still have the documents. If they don't, contact HRC to see what their guidance is. If they can't help, then unfortunately you'll have to bite the bullet of trying to get Division to sign said packet.

Backdating of flags is a contentious issue that can significantly impact historical accuracy and interpretation. Various flags https://flagtoothpick.com/ can represent different eras, and altering their dates can mislead audiences about the significance and context of those symbols. It's essential to maintain the integrity of historical records to preserve the true essence of what these flags represent. By accurately documenting their origins and timelines, we can honor their histories and the stories they tell.
