Especially love them when they are so tender the only reason you chew them is to keep them in your mouth a little longer!

I like to have one rib (quoting Chris Rock character on the movie I'm Gonna Get You Sucka).

I love them all, but my favorite are St Louis style cooked in Big Green Egg.
As far as where to buy the best ribs is concerned:
Dreamland BBQ - Tuscaloosa, AL
Sticky Fingers - Chattanooga, TN
Calhoun's BBQ - Knoxville, TN
Corky's BBQ - Knoxville, TN
Rendezvous - Memphis, TN
Country's BBQ - Columbus, GA
Cousin's BBQ - Fort Worth, TX
Shane's Rib Shack - Augusta, GA
Ruby Tuesday also has great ribs.

Ah come on Sir, Famous Dave's doesn't make the list? Have you ever eaten FD's BBQ ribs? Here in Texas, we have Schoeps in Temple, TX whose ribs will make you slap your granny!

CH (MAJ) Thomas Conner - I'm not a big fan of Famous Dave's. I ate at one in Knoxville, TN a couple of times and was not impressed. Calhoun's BBQ and Corky's BBQ were my favorite in Knoxville and, in my opinion, much better than FD. To be fair, maybe that particular location had a problem. I never tried them at any other location. I'll check them out at another location, when I get a chance.
I lived in Fort Worth for the past couple of years (commuted back and forth between Augusta, GA and Fort Worth every weekend or so) and never really found any BBQ places that I thought were that good, which was really surprising. A friend of mine told me about a place called Main Street BBQ in Euliss, TX and he said they had the best BBQ in the world. I ventured out there one Saturday and can honestly state that it had to be one of the worst meals of my life (and I've had some bad ones). Another told me about Risky's and, again, not too hot.
A friend took me to a hole-in-the-wall place (many times they are the best, like Chicken Comer's In Phenix City, Alabama or Archibald's in Tuscaloosa, Alabama) in Arlington, Texas (can't remember the name now). Again, he said the BBQ was great. I asked for pulled pork and pork ribs and was asked "you're not from here, are you" and proceeded to tell me that, in Texas, you eat beef BBQ. :-) I have to admit that the beef brisket and ribs were good, but nothing to write home about.
My wife was visiting her parents in Phenix City, AL (Columbus, GA) last week and brought me three pounds of Country's BBQ chopped pork, the absolute best in the world. I was in heaven... :-)

COL Jean (John) F. B. - I am big enough to admit there have been times I have been less than thrilled with FD, but for the most part they come through. The next time you are in Texas, perhaps we can get together and I will take you for some authentic Texas BBQ ribs!
