Being an MP...Inhibitor to Gaining Employment as a Civilian LEO?

I've read in a few places that a Soldier being an MP can actually harm their chances of gaining employment as a civilian LEO for multiple reasons (attitude, different/less adequate training, etc). As a newly commissioned USAR officer who will be attending MPBOLC in the near future and then looking for employment as a civilian police officer, I was wondering if there was any truth to this claim that being an MP makes LE agency recruiters take you "less seriously".

No, it won’t hinder you from getting hired. You could actually do any job in the military not just MP and it will help you get a job. MP helps because you get some knowledge and experience, than if you were non MP. I was in a field unit do I didn’t do much LAO. I did do a combat tour and experienced more than any civilian police officer will ever or want to see or do.
