Some military movies got overlooked in the recognition department. I liked "The Siege of Firebase Gloria"-just because R. Lee Ermey rocked it with his one-liners! What other less-known tasty military nuggets are out there, possibly undiscovered?

I remember the soccer game at the end and didn't understand the significance until I joined the military myself. After years of dog and pony shows and playing politics I can't imagine that movie without that scene. Some things just....never.....change.

We Were Soldiers...love that movie. Battle of Ia Drang, 3 MOH's were awarded. Sam Elliott was awesome as SGM Basil Plumley.
Also "Taking Chance"...very intense movie.

It's not underrated but my favorite is Kelly's Heroes. I think my favorite was Carroll O'Connor.

I love this movie about a Russian Company in Afghanistan before the US ever got involved there. Great acting and drama. Intense fight scenes too.
