What was your most favorite unit you have been assigned too, and would you like to go back to it if it was possible?

This also applies to veterans as well.

1st assignment 509th BW, Pease AFB, NH, good supervisors/mentors, excellent training, no longer the same unit, or location, but I would gladly go back

3rd Bn 13arty attached to 25 ID Heavy Mechanized in 1967 Vietnam. Some times were not so fun but I served with the best men on the planet under adverse conditions protecting ourselves in the field while firing support for those in the need of artillery support ricky tick even when it was danger close to them and they were whispering to us. That made us respond quickly and effectively and on target! That's what we were there for not filling sandbags etc.

That would have to be my last unit. The 3rd BSTB stationed out of Schofield Barracks Hawaii. Though I was not too happy with my immediate NCO leadership, I had tons of fun being in a unit with different platoons made up of different MOS's.

I think this is a good thread for those we are trying to get to join can see the substance of some things we discuss between us as current and former military, soft spoken as well as informational and mentoring types of postings.

We also have fun at times while remaining professional.
