Blade Runner 2049 - who's seen the new movie? How does it compare to the original?

2049 was shot in a similar style and I think it did a good job at continuing the story. As far as sequels go I thought it was one of the better ones I've seen. It was interesting to see a sequel come out 35 years after the original. It's a little on the long side, but it's still worth a watch. It was the #1 movie in theaters last weekend, but I still think it was considered a disappointment money wise. I don't think that is a indictment on the movie, rather I think it's just a slow time of the year for movies (other than "It", which seems to have bucked the trend).
