Some say Battle. Some say Buddy. Since I am retired Navy, and we don't call each other "battle", I use Buddy. A battle is an engagement with a foe (enemy, illness, problem).

I would personally say "battle buddy" from my time in the Army. Hope that helps! :)

Ive always used the term Battle buddy. Thats what the Army was using when I first came in back in 96.

I say buddy. I never liked the term "Battle Buddy" and "Battle" is just a bastardization of that. I have always referred to my friends from the military as my "buddies" civilians are just friends.
