Just a random question. Do you PLs get Halo slots? It might sweeten the offer. I'm a prior F co, 51st guy from bragg. I deployed with Foster. I'm Ranger and Airborne already.

Eric,
Not a random question at all as we are developing our MFF program. We have three recent MFF graduates in the company. The problem is we, like every other unit in the NG, are limited by our budget and MFF is an expensive school and not one an officer will likely attend. It's a bang for the buck type situation. It's in the unit's best interest to send young NCOs who are already JM qualified who could, in theory, spend another 5-10 years in the company utilizing the skillset. As officers we really don't hang around very long, maybe 2 years if you're lucky.
As a Detachment Leader you will need to attend PF and JM as soon as possible as those two ASIs are very essential to the mission set of the company. As you know, you can never have enough JMs. We also have the added bonus of having several WTC instructors in the unit who ensure our Paratroopers are well prepared for any one of the courses taught at WTC, as well at JM at 507th.
I'll send your regards to Foster. He was just promoted to SFC and is now a Detachment Sergeant.

Thanks. I just spoke to him the other night. It is very tempting. I also ran into some of your battalion staff. There was a CPT Keller and your CSM. They told me to talk to your BC but I haven't see him out here yet. Thanks for the info. I heard 1SG Underhill would like me to come down. I will be back states side in the fall. I will give it serious consideration. I have been hoping to find a full time gig at WTC and would love to move down there. I hope things would where I can do that. I will hit you guys up the closer I get to coming back. CPT (Join to see)

Sounds great. We'd love to have you on the team. Sadly, I'll likely be out of LRS by that time, but that's the way it goes with us O-types. If you need the CO's POC let me know. 1SG U should still be around when you get back.

I would also note that if you are an NCO with a 11/25/88-series MOS who is Jumpmaster, MFF, and/or Ranger qualified - shoot me an email at [login to see]
