I was supposed to get pinned SGT but my promotion certificate says I was promoted to SSG. I didn’t think that was real.

That is a typo on a certificate, and a certificate is something for framing.
What will promote you is a promotion order, and that will say SGT.
AR 600-8-19 spells out the requirement for promotion to SSG, and it includes time as a SGT and completion of ALC.

SGT (Join to see) as in..."The Secretary of the Army reposes special trust and privilege...." Promotion order? Yea, you may wanna get this straightened out before HRC figures it out down the road and they demote AND take back pay.

That was probably a typo. A promotion certificate doesn't really mean anything. Your promotion orders are what matters. Someone in S1 messed up and they and your BC missed it.
