I’m here at AIT and I have this drill sergeant that absolutely hates everything me and another person in our platoon does the first 2 weeks we did get off on the wrong hand but I just wasn’t use to the freedom coming fresh out of basic I told her that and I’ve been staying under the radar for a while but she just looks for any and everything to chow us out about or give us a counseling so today we had a random room expectation and our rooms got trashed me and the guy she hates also so what she did was thrower everything out our drawers and brought the females to our room and told them that this is how we live and we’re dirty so she took our phones and a couple more guys I gave her a phone but she said I had more than one phone so she made me open my locker and searched through my bags in my locked locker with no permission and found a old phone I was wrong for not turning it in but everyone is telling me to go talk to my 1Sgt because it wasn’t right how I was the only one that got searched and she was never given permission to search any of my personal belongings she just decided to and made me open my locker should I talk to my first sergeant about this? Or is this just something I should just deal with 8 more weeks because I think she is trying to get me put out and I can’t take it

First either use spell check or learn proper English. 2nd your ass is their`s from the second you arrive. Try following the rules and not being a cry baby and maybe just maybe you will make it.

Hi, I’m an MP. There is a police search and then there is following orders to empty your pockets. To stay safe legally, the orders are very appropriate.

You are Gov't Issued Property. This sounds like the Army. As a civilian you have more rights to privacy. You are on Federal Property and your employer the US Gov't has the right to do anything they want to you or their property you have been allocated to use; within the governed Army Regulations and not outside UCMJ or criminal activity. Your DS is only trying to make you better and less of a civilian with character flaws. Be a Soldier, suck it up, and move out.

Know this... a "random room inspection" is almost NEVER random. There are always going to be those who think 'rules' and 'regulations' are a suggestion or simply guidelines to have for everyone else. Know this... what you do now and how you conduct your self in a military manner will shape the rest of your life for the good or quite possibly, not-so-good. We all have choices. You CHOSE to be a soldier. My suggestion is to Check your mindset from an entitled, "poor-me" , I'm being picked on, to one of try and figure out how to square yourself away. Get your s#!+ together troop. Find it in yourself to do a little self-evaluation. It sounds like you have yet to hear the phrase, "it's hard to soar with eagles when you run with turkeys..." if you attend regular meetings in the "chump-of-the-month club", you will become a charter member. Check your surroundings! Learn from your mistakes and quit repeating them.

If you think going to "TOP" is the answer, by all means tell the WHOLE story...
But maybe you might want to 'internalize' this problem in lieu of 'externalizing' it.
Get it together troop!
RLTW!

The way I see it you broke the rules on more then one occasion. The DS has one of the most important job IMO. They have a short amount of time to instill the basic skills and discipline that will benefit you through your military career and hopefully through your civilian life. Whether or not you believe it the DS has your best interests in mind. Just remember that your decisions not to follow protocol can also affect your sister's or brother's in arms. You are a member of a large family.

Whoever you talk to, I hope you punctuate better. Posts like this remind me how we're now advertising the military to people who don't want to be in the military.

Wow, this is painful to read, however in my opinion you have no expectation of privacy while you are in boot camp or AIT. Not so sure you have any even when you get to your MOS school either. I was in Marine Corps boot camp in 1991, but since when could you have personal phones with you?
